__2__(@32x32C).jpg) | BRUNDISIUM
The major port in the Tamber Gulf and one of Helisto's main trade destinations. On Earth, Brundisium - from the Greek Brentesion (Βρεντήσιον) meaning "deer's head" ( now called Brindisi - in Italy ) was an important Roman port. Talarius last visited in person almost 2 years ago when the Administrator there was Conan and the Home was busy.
Brundisium and Pani: The Pani appeared on “known Gor” in various locations. The Pani were as ignorant of this side of Gor as Tarl Cabot of what lay on the other side of the Thassa. The Pani were brought by mysterious circumstances having fallen asleep and upon awakening found themselves in strange places.
“What of Tersites, and your fate?” I pressed.
“It was the night before the final battle,” said Lord Nishida, “when we were to be swept into the sea.”
“Yes?” I said.
“A great darkness came suddenly over the moons, watch fires mysteriously ceased to burn, guards struggled to remain awake at their posts, we fought, crying out, and beating on drums, and blowing trumpets, to rouse ourselves, to stay awake, but we were overcome, and in Ehn we lay down to die.”
“What happened?” I asked.
“We awakened in many places, on the shores of what you have spoken of as ‘known Gor', though, I assure you, it was not known to us. I myself awakened in the vicinity of what I learned was Brundisium.”
“I know it,” I said. It was a major port. Indeed, it had been used as the port of entry for the invasion forces of Cos and Tyros, bound for Ar.

__43__(@32x32C).jpg) | DELKA
Of the Gorean alphabet … the Gorean word for the fourth letter in the Gorean alphabet, corresponding to the Greek delta.
"On the chest was a bloody triangle, the "Delka." That is the fourth letter of the Gorean alphabet, and formed identically to the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet, the 'delta', to which letter it doubtless owes it origin. In Gorean, the delta of a river is referred to as its "Delka." The reasoning here is the same as in Greek, and, derivatively, in English, namely the resemblance of a delta region in a cartographical triangle." Magicians of Gor

The fair of En'Kara occurs in the spring. It is the first fair in the annual cycle of the Sardar Fairs, gigantic fairs which take place on the plains lying below the western slopes of the Sardar Mountains. These fairs, and others like them, play an important role in the Gorean culture and economy. They are an important clearing house for ideas and goods, among them female slaves. - Players of Gor

__66__(@32x32C).jpg) | FALARIAN WINE
A rare exquisite wine. It's existence only rumoured amongst collectors. It is thought to be so expensive it's cost could purchase a city. It is served cool, in a goblet and stored in a bottle in the cellar. There is no mention in the books of what it is made or nor the colour
Among these petitioners came one fellow bringing with him the promise of a gift of wine, a wine supposedly secret, the rare Falarian, a wine only rumored among collectors to exist, a wine supposedly so rare and precious that its cost might purchase a city." Mercenaries of Gor |

"There had been much shouting, much clashing of weapons. Conscious I was indeed of the signal honor seen fit to be bestowed upon me. I had lifted my hands to them, standing on the shields, a Jarl of Torvaldsland, one who might now, in his own name if need be, send forth the arrow of war, summoning adherents; one who might, as it pleased him, command ships and men; one who might now say to the rough, bold seamen of the north, as it pleased him, "Follow me, there is work to be done," and whom they would then follow, gathering weapons, opening the sheds, sliding their ships on rollers to the sea, raising the masts, spreading the striped sails to the wind, saying, "Our Jarl has summoned us. Let us aid him. There is work to be done."

a six-stringed plucked instrument with a rounded body and long neck; the tension on the strings is adjusted by means of small wooden cranks at the top of the neck, similar to the guitar or banjo of Earth.
the other was the kalika, a six-stringed instrument; it, like the czehar, is flat-bridged and its strings are adjusted by means of small wooden cranks; on the other hand, it less resembles a low, flat box and suggests affinities to the banjo or guitar, though the sound box is hemispheric and the neck rather long; it, too, of course, like the czehar, is plucked.
